10 Success Tips to Help you Reach your Ultimate Goal

How to Succeed in Pursuing your Dreams

When it comes to going after your goals, aspirations, and dreams you may feel moments of doubt. Am I doing this right? Will I ever succeed? Is this worth my time? I have many moments of self-doubt, where I begin to second guess my journey. I work hard at my journey to success and have come a long way. Nothing comes easy but there are ways to make your journey smoother. Here are 10 success tips that I have learned along the way.

10 Success Tips

What you should be doing to achieve success

Be Consistent

In everything you do, you need to be consistent. You can’t work hard at your goals one day and then give up on them for a week or two. This will get you no where. Treat your journey to success like you would a job. Would you be able to take a week or month off from work all the time? No, probably not. Work hard everyday at your dream and if need be, take a personal day to refresh your mind.

Time Management

I know just how hard it is to make sure you find enough time to complete all the tasks you need to do. That’s why practicing time management helps tremendously! What I like to do is create a list of what I need to accomplish for the day and then prioritize. I will put the important tasks at the top and the least important at the bottom. After, I start with the most important and set a timer (1-2hrs, 30mins, however long I think I need to complete this task). Once the timer is up, I will move onto my next task. If I have not completed the task by the timer, I will go back to it at the end of trying to complete all tasks. This strategy helps a ton when it comes to practicing time management!

Self-Confidence

Going after big goals & dreams is hard work. Many times it can make you doubt your abilities. It’s important to keep a positive mindset and know that you are capable. If you don’t believe in yourself first, who will?

Motivation

It is important to keep your motivation throughout your journey. There are different ways that you can find motivation & inspiration! Some ways that I enjoy are: Looking through Pinterest. I love browsing Pinterest to help find inspiration. Make friends with others who are going after the same goals as you. For instance, I’m a blogger so having “blogger” friends can be so motivational! Get a blog/life coach. These coaches are meant to help push you, encourage you, teach you things that you may not already know, and help turn your weaknesses in to strengths. ( I am actually a blog coach if you want to learn morehere – ) I also love to listen to jazz music when I am feeling uninspired. (Unique, I know.)

A Morning Routine

You’ve probably heard many others tell you how important a morning routine is. So I will be the 10000000 person to tell you, HAVE A MORNING ROUTINE. I know it’s pretty tough to stick to a morning routine but, if you do, you will start your day off right. Having a morning routine can make you feel more motivated than ever before! Wake up at the same time each morning, have a cup of coffee/tea, journal, meditate. Whatever it is that helps start your day off right. DO IT.

Organize Your Space

I will be the first to admit, I’m not always as organized as I want to be. But, I will say that when I am organized, I am more successful. Not many can think straight in an unorganized environment. If your space is put together, I promise your life will feel more put together. This will help clear your mind and feel ready to get sh*t done!

Switch it Up

What do I mean by this? Think about it, being an entrepreneur, most of the time you are working from your home. It can get very lonely, boring, and uninspiring. It’s important to take your work else where every once in a while. Try to change up the scenery. Work from a coffee shop, a library, or even outside. Being an entrepreneur is great because you have the option to work from anywhere. Utilize it!

Reward Yourself

Success doesn’t come easy. It’s hard, exhausting work. You deserve to reward yourself when you achieve wins during your journey. In fact, I think it’s essential to reward yourself for your achievements to help keep you sane and motivated.

Eliminate Perfection

You will never reach your success if you focus on perfection. Why? Because perfection does not exist. Nothing is perfect because everyone’s idea of “perfect” is different. If you just go after your success with passion, and heart, you will achieve a lot more.

Conquer Your Fears

The truth is, we let fear stop us from reaching our success. Fear of judgement, fear of failure, fear of the unknown. All of this fear is blocking your path. In order to push through, you have to conquer the fears. Don’t ever let fear be the reason you can’t achieve the success you deserve.

I hope this advice was helpful & hopefully you already practice most of them if not all.

It’s time to go after your dreams, you are fearless, nothing can stop you!

  Until next time, xx Ell

  • I love this, Ell! Especially conquering your fears. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to do things that push me out of my comfort zone and it’s been a blast! I started a blog, gone skydiving, ziplining, asked for a raise and a bunch more. Continuing to push yourself out of your comfort zone really keeps things fresh. Love your blog!

  • I love this! Especially about eliminating perfection. Nothing is perfect but as long as your consistent and learning from any mistakes along the way. Great post!

  • You might be the millionth person to say “have a morning routine” but by golly, everyone needs one so it’s not redundant. The past few weeks I’ve really got on track with this and suddenly, I’m able to crank out one or two weeks’ worth of content in one sitting. I wish I’d started heeding this advice sooner! Great post by the way, definitely something all bloggers should heed.

  • I super agree with the need to reward yourself. It can sometimes be so hard to just chill a bit, especially when building up a business. But as you said, it’s super necessary. Thanks for the reminder! 🙂

  • wow this was great, I especially need to work on the tip “switch it up”. I think that is a very great idea. It does get lonely and depressing in my current work area, I am really going to try to implement this one. Thanks a bunch for this post.

  • Ahhh you’re so right! I used to go for a morning run or meditate in the morning and it made such a difference for the whole day. I felt so energised! However now with winter coming it is soooo hard to get up early… That’s my weakest point :/

  • Very motivational! I for sure need to change my mindset and view my blog as a potential career, even while it’s brand new and small. It’s easy to let fear of failure to derail my motivation.
